About Farm Fayre
Building the rails for agri trade
Farm Fayre is the cleanest way to buy and sell livestock direct, farmer to farmer. We are building it to a standard that lasts for generations of Irish farming, so clean the technology disappears and the trade remains.
Who we are
Farm Fayre was set up out of a genuine desire to serve farmers. The farmer rears the animal and carries the risk, and then hands a cut to everyone standing between the yard and the buyer.
We believe in open markets and honest trade. Our aim is to collapse that long chain of hands into one simple connection: the farmer who has the cattle and the farmer who wants them, with the value staying where it was earned.

How we do it
The money is on account first
The buyer's money sits on account with Trustap, our regulated payment provider, before an animal moves. Farm Fayre never holds a cent of it.
The weight is settled on the bridge
The weight the deal settles on is taken on a certified weighbridge at collection. The instrument certifies it and Farm Fayre records it.
The cattle travel once
Yard to yard, straight from one herd to the next, with the cost of haulage shown on the lot before you make an offer.
Every figure is in the open
The fees, the haulage, the weight allowance and the settling weight are all on the page, and every decision on the lot is the seller's.
What we believe
The trade comes first
The technology should disappear so the deal between two farmers is all that is left. If a screen gets in the way, the screen is wrong.
Honest money, in plain sight
Every fee is on one page, set by the settled price and shown in full. A deal that does not complete costs nothing.
We never take a side
Your money sits with the regulated payment provider and title passes from the seller to the buyer. If an issue is raised, we resolve it fairly and the decision is final.
The seller is sovereign
You set your Seller's Buy Now Number and you call every offer. They are your cattle; you decide the price they leave your yard at.
